A little bit about me

I’m currently enrolled in online college classes. I’ve been babysitting off and on for about 14 years; it started for family then became a way for me to make regular income. I currently have two step children between 5-8 who get out of state visitation with their mother. I babysit in your home or mine, days or nights, weekends and weekdays. If I babysit in my own home you can either provide snacks yourself or I will provide snacks. In your home I make sure your house isn’t a total mess when you get home. I absolutely love children and believe they should have the best of everything so if requested I will/do help with educational things such as games and depending on age homework. I’m pet friendly as well, other than spiders as they do freak me out and scare me so as long as they’re not visible I’ll be fine. I’m all for keeping mom and dad updated throughout the day and sending pictures if requested.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Learning/educational activities, playing outside with chalk, with toys inside or outside. Anything else that’s child friendly and safe that they may have to play with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Always making sure both the parent(s) and child feel safe and happy. As well as making the experience memorable for them. The children see their nanny/babysitter multiple times a week for long periods of time, you don’t want them to have a bad experience and the parent nor child will be able to have faith in that again.

My experience with special needs children...

Between July 2017-February 2018 I babysat three siblings overnight every other weekend; one of the little girls was slightly autistic. One of my little brothers is also autistic and I’ve helped with him off and on for 7 years.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I babysat a 6 month old little boy between [phone number hidden], as well as two siblings aged 2 (boy) & 4 (girl) at the time. The two year old boy followed me everywhere and always wanted to be by my side. The two boys got along wonderfully, but anytime I sat down next to or to play with the 6 month old the 2 year old would climb in my lap to sit as if he was jealous. On days I didn’t watch the 6 month old the 2 year old wasn’t like that. The 6 month old’s parents as well as the 2 year olds dad (mother got the children half the week; I babysat for dad his half the week) thought it was one of the funniest things.
