A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Amanda Saldaña. I am 25 and a born and raised New Yorker from the Bronx. I am also a 2021 college graduate from The City College of New York with a bachelor's in Childhood Education and a concentration in sociology. I have extensive experience working with kids since I was in high school, I began tutoring, working in after-school programs, summer camps, and substitute teaching to becoming a teacher at a non-profit. As a teacher, I ran a classroom of up to 17 kids ages 0 -3 with the support of the teacher's assistants and skills trainers. Some of the significant responsibilities involved changing diapers, feeding, putting the babies to sleep, behavior management, going outdoors, keeping up with the schedule, and routines of the center, support in developing fine and gross motor skills, and best of all playtime. Working with kids is something I’ve always enjoyed and brings a new and exciting purpose to my life every day.
