I believe the most important part about being a nanny is more than being a caregiver. A nanny is also a role model, a teacher, cheerleader, and source of comfort, helping children build confidence, curiosity, and kindness through everyday moments.

I've worked as a 1:1 behavior specialist supporting a 3 year old child with special needs. In this role, I focused on building trust, encouraging positive behaviors, supporting communication, and creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. I collaborated with the family, followed individualized care strategies, encouraged development skills through play, and provided calm, consistent support throughout the day. This experience taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment while meeting the child's needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was dancing and singing along to children's songs together. Their laughter was contagious, and it turned an ordinary day into a fun memory.
