A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Amaya, and I’m 22 years old. I’m currently finishing my final semester at Iowa State University, where I will be graduating this spring with my bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Information Technology. I have always loved working with children and have a few years of experience caring for kids in both structured and casual settings. My aunt owned a Montessori school called Healthy Beginnings, where I worked with children ranging from 6 months to 6 years old. That experience taught me so much about patience, creativity, communication, and how important it is to create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for every child. In addition to that, I have also done casual babysitting and have experience caring for children with different personalities, routines, and needs. I am CPR certified as well, which gives me the skills to stay calm and prepared in important situations. I want every child to feel safe, understood, supported, and encouraged to be themselves.
