Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My second mother had a baby when I had turned 15 and he’s been a big learning experience for me. Everyday he teaches me new things about kids with special needs and just how clever they truly are. I care for him most days out of the week seeing as how my mother is trying to hold a house with 5 people in it together.

Dress up and tea parties if they like that!

Making the living room into a fort for a movie day??? Sounds awesome to me

Making a big Hopscotch path
(For the babies I’ve always enjoyed putting a blanket down on the grass and bring out a few of their favorite toys so I can engage with them outside)

The most important part about being a nanny...
Keeping them safe and making sure they feel and see that! Never would I let a kid in my care be scared for their own safety. Yes they might be sad and miss their parents but we will overcome that and have fun and before they know it you’ll be home
My experience with special needs children...
I was part of the teachers program at my school and we spent all our time with other students that have special needs. I remember the first time I walk into the room and how excited they all were to meet us. I spent the next year getting to know all of them and I learn so much about all their different needs and how to mend to each and every one of them. They even taught me themselves things I never even knew about their condition. To this day I will forever hold those sweet kids in my heart.
