Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping kids engaged with fun and creative activities! Indoors, we might bake cookies, read stories, build with blocks, or do arts and crafts together. Outdoors, we could play games like tag or hide-and-seek, blow bubbles, draw with sidewalk chalk, go to a nearby park, or go on little nature walks around the neighborhood. The possibilities are endless!
The most important part about being a nanny...
While most of my experience is in childcare centers as a preschool teacher, I’ve also worked with infants and toddlers as an assistant teacher. I believe the most important part of being any sort of childcare worker is building trust and meaningful connections with the children in your care. In these early years, kids are learning how to express themselves, follow routines, and develop social and emotional skills. They need someone who is patient, consistent, and truly invested in their growth. It’s not just about keeping them safe — it’s about helping them feel seen, supported, and encouraged as they explore the world around them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs, including those with ADHD and autism. While working as an assistant teacher at a childcare center, I supported a variety of children with different needs and helped create a patient, inclusive environment. In addition to my professional experience, I also have a personal connection—my brother has Asperger’s syndrome, so I’ve grown up understanding the importance of empathy, communication, and consistency when supporting children with unique challenges. I’m also trained in American Sign Language (ASL), which helps me connect with children who have hearing differences or communication delays.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Although I haven’t officially been a nanny, one of my favorite moments while working as an assistant teacher was seeing how much of a difference consistency and kindness can make. I loved watching shy children slowly come out of their shells over time. Whether it was a child finally opening up to me during circle time or a child with sensory needs feeling comfortable enough to participate in messy play, those small milestones were always so meaningful. I think building those trusting relationships is what makes this work so rewarding
