The most important part about being a nanny...
Having patience, and understanding the kid you’re sitting for. Every child is different, meaning different interests, different personalities, different morals, and different needs/wants. You, as a nanny have to be able to recognize that, and have patience and flexibility with their lifestyle, all while also caring, protecting, and watching over them at all costs!
My experience with special needs children...
I have a cousin who is special needs, who is older than me but is developmentally behind. I learned to be patient & gentle with her, and all in all treat her how I would any other child. Offer to play with her, make conversation, request her needs, etc.
