The most important part about being a nanny...
Of all the moments I've had as a nanny, my favorite is never the big one. It's the quiet afternoon when a small hand slips into mine without a word. It's the giggle that starts in the backseat and spreads until we're all laughing and nobody remembers why. It's the proud face that says "Look what I made!" and the sleepy head resting on my shoulder at story time.
These moments don't make it into photos, but they stay with me. I get to be part of how a child learns to feel safe, curious, and loved. Being trusted with that is the best part of this job, and I'm grateful for every day of it.
