More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked for Kinder care in Raleigh & I’ve been a nanny for a wonder family & 1 year old boy, I then moved to Charlotte,NC where I worked at The Nest and had the pleasure of being a lead teacher for 1 year olds. I then relocated back to Durham,NC where I was a lead 2’s toddler teacher at Kids R Kids learning center.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Singing songs, being active outside, doing different art activities, doing I spy outside and in home so they know what different things are and how they feel, challenging different motor skills, teaching about letter and numbers in English and Spanish, sticking to schedules every week example
Messy Monday- water play, adventuring outside, maybe some fun in paint.
Talented Tuesday- Showing off our arts and crafts skills, tracing letters and numbers.
This is just things that have worked in the past that I think kids enjoy, especially when they are looking forward to doing it.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are safe, meeting the parents needs with things they need done, making sure I get the parents trust with being with their child or children, enjoying my moment with them anytime I’m with them and making the child or children feel easy going with me and knowing that I am there to help and be apart of their journey with growing.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had experience with special needs children but not the proper training with them, I have worked with special needs children as young as 2 years old.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment is when my kid that I used to nanny showed his parents what I taught him and that was to show your emotions but know how to show mom, dad and others in the right way, it turned out to be a good teachable moment because me, mom and dad had challenging times where nothing was working, and knowing they wanted him to soon be in daycare it was a need to them that he learn how to communicate the best way he could instead of throwing himself out or biting. So teaching him to take slow breaths in fun ways, sing his favorite song when he feels uneasy, giving him a hug and even chanting our favorite quote “ it’s alright, it’s okay shake it off shake it off”helped a lot. My boy started daycare and mom and dad told me amazing things & even quotes the chant in school now when things are uneasy.
