A little bit about me

My name is Amo and I am currently seeking a new nanny position starting this August. I have been with my current family for over three years, and as the children are transitioning into school, my role with them is coming to an end.

I have over seven years of childcare experience and recently renewed my CPR and First Aid certification. I would describe myself as nurturing, patient, and attentive. I enjoy planning activities that are both fun and developmentally appropriate, including crafts, outdoor play, and incorporating learning into everyday routines.

In my current role, I’ve been responsible for tasks such as school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, organizing activities, taking the children to the library and other outings, and supporting key developmental stages like potty training and transitions.

I also have reliable transportation.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy keeping children engaged through a mix of fun and learning-based activities. This includes reading, storytelling, crafts, coloring, drawing, and creative play like building blocks, as well as activities that support learning and development based on each child’s interests.

I also enjoy getting children outdoors and active, whether that’s going for walks, visiting the playground, or going to places like the library and other age-appropriate outings

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me as a nanny is the well-being and happiness of the children. Beyond providing nurturing, attentive care and engaging activities, I also prioritize open and honest communication with parents. I strive to be a reliable source of support, taking the workload off their shoulders by handling various responsibilities with care and efficiency. From organizing schedules to assisting with laundry and food prep, I am committed to easing the parents' load and being an extra set of hands they can rely on. Knowing that I can make a positive impact in the lives of both the children and their parents is a deeply rewarding aspect of being a nanny.

Kiera T. - Seeking Work in Washington

Full-Time Nanny Available in Washington, DC: Kiera T.

Hello! My name is Kiera, and I’m a stay at home mom to two beautiful baby boys! I was a nanny for 10+ years but since the hospital near our old house neglected our oldest son when he was just 2 months old, I have to stay home with him to care for my little angel now that he has a disability. I recently cared for 3 girls for years and have GREAT references. I am CPR & First aid certified and also have experience with special needs children. Some of the things I did previously with my girls I had to leave, was getting them ready for school, hair was always done, take them to after school activities, & play dates that I would plan if they didn’t have after school activities. I make sure to communicate with the parents throughout the day to let them know their baby is safe, loved & taken care of. I would like a job where my 1 year old can come with me. I’m still having a hard time putting him in daycare because I dont trust a lot of people to give him the same love and attention I would!
