A little bit about me

Hi there!
My name is Anais (ana-eese). I am 24 years old, & I just recently got married on Feb. 12.22. I was born and raised in San Diego then moved over here almost 2 years ago. I taught Sunday school since the age of 11yrs old and babysat since I was 12 years old till just before I left San Diego at the age of almost 23. I have worked at the YMCA with infants/newborns in the nursery to 12+ year old kiddos at the kids corner, at Health First Fitness club in the kids corner at my college's campus with ages 6mo to 13 years old. I have also worked at Liberty Christian Academy as a assistant teacher & for after school with Pre-k to 8th graders (my speciality was pre-k to 2nd grade). So I proudly say I've had my fair share of experience. I am also CPR/AED/First Aid certified. I am pursuing a double major in Child & Adolescent Development and Psychology. I will let you know I am not vaccinated, I can wear a mask if it's more comfortable for you.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Sunday school teacher, and a babysitter for the pastoral staff when they had their monthly meetings!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I try to focus on things that are age appropriate, and things that are favored by the child. Example, if your child likes doing crafts we will totally get a whole set up and do a craft everyday! If your child likes to play with water if season appropriate we can find some fun things to do with outside water activities. If you have an infant there are activities depending on the age where we can work on skills to help their fine and gross motor skills. For example, if you have a 3-4month old, they is a floor exercise during tummy time to help them try and roll over by getting that feel or trying with help.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being apart of the family, and growing with the child!

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any specific paper certifications (yet) but I have had my fair share of working with children who are autistic (mild to severe) and children who have ADHD.
