A little bit about me

My name is Anayah, and I’m an experienced and dedicated nanny with a strong passion for childcare. I have over five years of babysitting experience, including working full-time during the summers for two families. I’ve cared for children of various ages — from newborns as young as two weeks old to toddlers and older kids — which has helped me become patient, attentive, and adaptable.

I’ve also completed a two-year child development course, so I understand the importance of supporting children’s emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Safety, structure, and nurturing care are always my top priorities.

I would describe myself as responsible, calm, and very nurturing — I naturally take on a “motherly” role and truly enjoy creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe and loved. I look forward to the opportunity to care for and positively impact your little ones!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes caring for my younger siblings and relatives from a young age, babysitting for multiple families, assisting my mother in her work as a nanny, and completing child development coursework. I have experience caring for children of all ages, including newborns, infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and preteens. My responsibilities have included preparing meals, helping with homework, organizing educational and creative activities, maintaining routines, assisting with bedtime, transporting children to activities when needed, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. I am also CPR certified and committed to providing dependable, attentive, and compassionate care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children include visiting splash parks and playgrounds, going to museums, reading books together, playing outdoor games, doing arts and crafts, and participating in educational activities that make learning fun. Since my mom is a nanny, I have often accompanied her to work, where I helped care for the children by engaging them in creative play, supervising outings to places like splash parks and museums, and leading fun learning games. I enjoy creating a positive, active, and nurturing environment where children can have fun while learning and building confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. I believe a nanny is more than just someone who supervises children—they are a positive role model who helps children learn, grow, and build confidence. I strive to build strong relationships with both the children and their parents through patience, open communication, reliability, and genuine care. Knowing that I can make a positive difference in a child's life while giving parents peace of mind is the most rewarding part of being a nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was caring for a little boy named Jack, who was initially very shy and had a difficult time adjusting to new people. At first, he would often cry and was hesitant to interact with me. Instead of rushing the process, I was patient, consistent, and made sure he felt safe and comfortable. Over time, he began to trust me, became more confident around new people, and our bond grew very strong. Now, whenever we talk on the phone, he always asks when I'm coming to visit him again. Seeing the positive impact I had on his confidence and knowing that he feels so comfortable and happy around me is one of the most rewarding parts of caring for children.
