More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a nanny for two families while finishing up my college undergrad studies at the
University of Houston. Those kids are are grown and working in their first careers and we stay in touch and see each other like thy were my very own, to this day! and always WILL!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
sidewalk chalk, painting (water paints) don't panic lol. colors, playdoh, maybe some baking? I love to take them swimming in the hot summer, and eat popsicles or get a Raspa lol I have my favorite parks and Libraries around town, like Landa, down in Monte Vista. and the downtown facility is REALLY something. I look for free events they have at the libraries like movie day or lego day.. Mom's (or nannies) and the kids go for the afternoon. We like card games like UNO and board games like SORRY AND .MONOPOLY. I'm old school and this is how we grew up. without the tech. And it's so much more fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Well, that's not something I can answer in a short sentence, succinctly?
These children's lives, and safety and minds and hearts are in OUR CARE AND OUR HANDS. To protect them, teach them, give them emotional financial stability, if we are blessed to be able to. I've realized over the years that IT REALLY DOES TAKE A VILLAGE to raise a child. I didn't have all that for my son. but he never knew how poor mommy really was because I would somehow get it covered with band aids and bubble gum. I grew up very privileged and we thought everyone was like that. Today these kids see and hear things at school or through the media, that has to terrify and worry their little hearts an minds. I know it does mine. It is harder to raise kids and both work, and clean, and do laundry and shop and pay attention to everything they see. There are many important reasons for hiring help if you need it. The Mammies used to do that for generations-LOVE our kids, #saints #strongasoaks, loved against the rage

My experience with special needs children...
TBD, for me. I only have experience with Autistic and ADHD kids. My son has a touch of both, but our very close friend, our neighbor in SA. was very high on the Spectrum. Highly intelligent. And doesn't miss a THING! LOL but Brody always knew when he was hitting a wall with too much outside stimulation and we all just let him rest in a quiet room until he was feeling more calm and less anxious. He had more severe markers in his everyday mannerisms etc. but in no way impaired physically. So that is the extent of my personal experience with any kind of special needs. and that seems like it really not, when we consider how much more challenging it is for some kiddos. and they often have the heart of A LION AND THE GENTLE SPIRIT OF A LAMB.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Whenever I had all the kids together at once and we would get home from the pool, make milkshakes, an play games. We were all present and together. family, friends, other kids I nannied for were there. We were our own little family unit sometimes. But there's NOTHING like Mom and Dad coming home. I just kept them safe and happy...fed and watered lol until my exhausted couple friends would get home. To a clean house, bathed and safe children, and on occasion, a milkshake lol Seeing the relief and stress melt off of them when they realized the laundry was done, house was clean, kids were dressed fed and ready for bed?? THAT FEELING IS PRICELESS as a parent that is so busy and tired, and if you're like me, shaming myself for not having it all done by myself, feeling guilty I had to clean, and start laundry, and take a shower I was too tired to imagine, and missing my kid. So ITS EVERYTING to know the little bit I did has made a BIG impact on their well being and peace of mind.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Canyon Lake, TX: Ashton W.
Hi! My names Ashton and I am new to the Canyon Lake area. I have 2 years of experience being a live-out nanny, I have taken care of and watched over 3+ month old infants all the way to 6 year old children. During those 2 years I also took care full time for a disabled 10 year old boy. I also have 2 daughters of my own, one being 17 months old and the other about to turn 3 in June.
I am a 20 year old male, but I’ve been taking care of children my entire life and like mentioned before, I also have 2 years of paid experience. There’s no issue doing housekeeping, meals, bottle feeding, baths, etc, as instructed and if needed so I can accommodate you and your child’s normal routine.
I hope you have a good day :)
