I had a little girl in one of my classrooms (aged 3) and she was known for being quiet. Before I started working there she had not uttered many words, it a little over a month of us having one on one time and giving her comfort until eventually I was the only person she’d speak to, it truly meant a lot to me that she felt comfortable enough opening up to me even if it was only about animals and colors.
