The most important part about being a nanny...
Spending time with our children is incredibly important. It seems the generation coming up behind is stuck in front of electronics; computer, iPads, cell phones and video games. And there is no longer dinners around the table with conversations; rather all are looking at their iPhones. That is heart breaking to see the disconnect. As a single Mom, my children and I were blessed because I didn't have the money for electronics; so, we spent our time together on nature walks, cooking, baking, playing games, painting, and caring for and raising our animals. We talked, and we watched appropriate comedy movies together. l absolutely loved being a single mom and they were well rounded, respectful and loving kids.

I was a Nanny for a single mother of three children in Woodbridge, VA.
My most favorite day with them was the day I showed up with pumpkins, carving and art supplies to decorate their pumpkins. As well as the ingredients for homemade sugar cookies! We had a blast together and their mother appreciated that I went above and beyond to make their Halloween special with memories.
