More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent 2+ years as a full-time caregiver/nanny for 2 younger autistic children (3-7).
Within this time my caregiving tasks were wide ranging from supporting with in-home therapy sessions, supporting a clean home environment for play and learning, supporting children through daily routines and rituals, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Whether it’s my 2+ years of being a nanny or my 5+ years of being a teachers aide in SPED, I’ve always loved getting my kids outside and playing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel that it is paramount to create a safe and friendly environment for these kids and families.

My experience with special needs children...

I spent 5+ years at a private SPED school, specializing in individuals on the spectrum to some degree.
In my time working here, I worked with an array of of diagnosis’. Working with a classroom of 10+ students, aging from 10-18. I supported the classroom in various activities, including but not limited too; curriculum/lesson planning and teaching, supporting the children through creating an enriched and interactive learning environment, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve had so many precious moments with all the kiddos I’ve worked with!
They all have there own individual stories and moments, however, One that sticks out is getting to play a big group game with my classroom after working on appropriate social and game skills for months.
