Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Sensory Play (I love to create different sensory bins that engage the fine motor skills development of little ones.)
Story Time (Children and Youth Literature is a passion of mine, so designing activities based on reading and engaging with books is a go to for me.)
Educational Activities/Games (In my teaching positions I used to create games that were focused on the age appropriate development of writing, reading, science, and math based skills.)
Video Games (if your child likes video games, I am pretty knowledgeable on how to work the latest gaming systems.)
Outdoor activities (Whether it is riding a bike, roller blading, scootering, playing in the backyard or neighborhood playground, or just going for a walk around the neighborhood; I believe getting outside for a little bit of fresh air does a great deal in making a positive light to the day!

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most important things to me about being a nanny and even more broadly being someone in child care, is being an active support for families. No one family unit is the same, as an educator, I always strove to meet children where they were at developmentally, and I always made it a priority to keep honest and open communication with my students and parents making sure we worked together to meet the needs of their children and their family unit. As a nanny, I hope to do the same, whether I am that extra set of hands you need in the afternoon for dinner and bedtime, the creator of fun activities during the day, the Hot Wheel Organizer, the school work helper, the Disney princess attendant, or the video game player support; I am here for y'all!
My experience with special needs children...
In the school setting, I have had experience in managing and working with behaviors and academic struggles of children with Autism, ADHD, ODD, Dyslexia, and other Learning Disabilities. I strive to tailor my approach, working in teamwork with parents, to make sure the child is being heard and met where they are at in their academic needs, while making sure I communicate that their are boundaries put in place for them to be safe and grow!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most favorite moments working with my children over the years is prepping for the Kindergarten Graduation. The children and I worked really hard to learn the song "Skidamarink (I Love You)" with the hand motions. At the ceremony, my 10 students performed it to their parents and it was one of the cutest memories I have!
