More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I took Child Development 2 and Psych 25. In both I’ve learned about the importance of how a child’s development goes. I definitely have a different outlook on how to work with a child. When it comes to their needs, motor skills, way of understanding things etc. Currently working on taking another child development class to get a permit.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For indoor activities, I’ve done finger painting, coloring, board games etc. Outdoor games such as red light green light, duck duck goose. I’ve taken kids out to ride bikes, scooters etc. Water play day when it’s hot. Or simply playing with bubbles.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe, being attentive to each child is important. Also, acknowledging their mild stones and goals they meet. You want to create a safe space by being a caring, loving person who put’s each child as a priority while in your care.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve only cared for one child with special needs. A four year old autistic boy. Having patients was key. I tried my best to work with him in a way we understood each other. I was very calm and collective when it came down to melt downs. Tried my best to meet his daily routines.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would have to say my best moments were seeing the smile on their little faces and hearing the giggles. All because they had a fun day. It lets me know they feel safe and comfortable with me.
