The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny for me is being someone the kids can fall back on. Sometimes mom and dad seem too authoritarian and they don’t feel comfortable asking for advice with friends, school, or social life. I want to be there for them so that I can be somewhat of an older sibling or a mentor to them.

The three year old boy I used to nanny came to visit me at my apartment. I thought it was so cute how excited he got, he ran up my outside stairs ahead of his mom yelling my name, and I could hear him all the way from my bedroom.
