I have a special need brother and growing up I was always his go-to person. I was a safe space for him and know how to take hints when something is bothering him. When I worked as a special needs buddy in school, we mostly played games with the other kids but i did make connections with them and learned how to infer boundaries when they aren't spoken directly.
