I’m a 22 year old outdoor enthusiast! I love camping, hiking, rock climbing, and pretty much anything that allows me to be in the sun. I grew up in Pleasant Hill and lived there my whole life. I have also worked the last 3 years full time in retail/customer service and loved every minute of it, but I found the big part of my love of work was getting to spend time and connect with the children and families that came into my shop. After working my way to a management position I found myself not being able to spend as much time with my customers and lost the love for my job. This summer I managed to take some time off and I’ve now decided to change my career path to focus more on helping people.

My family is German and as a young girl I went to a weekend German school. As I got older I then had the opportunity to work as an assistant teacher and help in the classrooms. I also worked at the summer camps every summer for 3 years. The children were anywhere from 2- 15. From that experience I met many families I would the go on to babysit for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy helping children find their own love of the outdoors. Going on walks and taking them to the park are definitely at the top of my list. I also love paying games, building forts, or reading books. Every child has different needs that I would cater to, but I would definitely encourage any child to step away from technology to allow us to enjoy spending time together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is making sure that the family I’m working for feels stress free! The child/children should be having fun with me and all the needs of the family should be met 100%.
