Hi. I am a mommy of 3 little girls who are all in school. I live in Orange County and I am available to work full time. I have many years experience in working with special needs children and adults. I have spent the last few years working for employers and long to work for myself and have consistency in finances. I have over 7 years of experience in babysitting children and the last 8 years I have been raising my own children. My last job was working as an aide in a local district. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked with special needs children and adults for over 10 years. I worked professionally as a social worker/case manager for about 7 years also with special needs. Last job was an aide at special school in GG. I am CPR and First Aide certified. I have 3 girls. 8 + years experience babysitting before I had my own children. I volunteer at my children's school when I can. Looking for local family who needs a mature, trustworthy nanny with personal and professional experience with children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities depend on age. I enjoy playing games and interaction. I love teaching my own children and other children. I find joy in reading to children and teaching skills needed for personal growth. I am creative and enjoy arts and crafts. Playing catch, riding bikes, drawing with chalk, making bubbles.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny I am proving support and care for another parents child or children. As a parent I know how hard it is to find someone I can trust with my own children. Nanny's have tremendous responsibility for the children they care for and to their parents. I would expect to be treated with respect and dignity, as I would treat anyone the same without question.

My experience with special needs children...

I was working with children with fragile medical needs. I am trained on g-tubes, suctioning, replacing g-tubes and tracheostomy care. I am trained on seizure care and can give Diastat. I would feed them orally and through g-tube. I would and maneuver them as needed for their comfort. I changed their clothing as needed. Overall care, safety management and love. I loved my job, it brought me tremendous joy to work with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Many years ago I worked with a family that had two daughters. I had baby-sat their daughters for years -one child was about two years old and the other was an infant. Many years later we were reunited after I had graduated from college. These two girls we're now about the ages of 12 and 10. The parents had asked me to babysit one night so they could go on a date. We spent the evening with me sharing stories with them about how they were and the things I did with them when they were 2 years old and a baby. They were so overjoyed to be reunited with me and we had so much fun that night. The parents let us have popcorn and snacks and we watched a movie together that night. It was amazing to see these girls after so many years and that they remembered me and appreciated me and a time that I spent with them.
