I currently work in childcare and am also a mom to a 2-year-old son, which has given me even more hands-on experience caring for, nurturing, and understanding the needs of young children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

my current childcare position, where I work directly with preschool-aged children and help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. I have experience planning age-appropriate activities, assisting with meals and daily routines, supervising children, supporting their emotional and developmental needs, and communicating with parents.

I am also a mother to a 2-year-old son, which has given me hands-on experience with the everyday needs and routines of a young child. In addition, my previous childcare experience has helped me develop strong patience, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills when caring for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, coloring, reading books, singing and dancing, outdoor play, sensory activities, educational games, puzzles, and age-appropriate learning activities. I also enjoy doing creative activities that allow children to use their imagination and develop their social, emotional, and motor skills. I love making everyday activities fun while helping children learn and explore at their own pace.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal and professional experience caring for children with special needs. My younger brother is autistic, which has given me firsthand experience understanding the importance of patience, communication, consistency, and individualized care. I also have experience working with autistic children at the childcare center where I currently work. These experiences have helped me become more understanding, attentive, and adaptable to each child’s individual needs, personality, and comfort level.

The most important part about being a nanny...

have not worked as a nanny before, but I have had many meaningful moments while working in childcare. One of my favorite moments is seeing a child become more confident and independent after spending time learning and practicing something new. I especially enjoy when children feel comfortable enough to open up, show their personality, and proudly share something they have learned or created with me. Those moments remind me why I enjoy working with children.
