A little bit about me

As a current senior at Chapman University, I have loved working with children since given the opportunity. At the young age of 13, I started babysitting my neighbors in the summer during the workday. When I turned 16 I became an employee at our local recreation center and worked there for two years. During those two years, I coached a soccer team of 3, 5, and 6-year-olds, was a camp counselor every summer full time for ages 3-13, and worked in the childcare center of the gym. I picked up an additional job at a private gym during my senior year of high school and worked as a lead in childcare. In my first 3 years of college, I nannied 20-30 hrs/week for a family with 2-year-old twin girls prior to them moving states. I loved that family as if they were my own! Currently, I work at Equinox/as a Spin Instructor, therefore I have current CPR and AED certifications. My last semester at Chapman is light, so I would love to fill any gaps by helping families who need a part-time nanny!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To engage with the kiddos! These children look up to their nannies so incredibly much, I believe it is so important to do that in a positive and present manner. You will never catch me ignoring them to sit and scroll on my phone, your kids needs are my top priority and engaging in play-time, outdoor activities, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Christmas of 2021 my family had covid so I could not fly home for the holidays (I am originally from Oregon), so the family I regularly nannied for whom I call my family to this day took me in. We decorated cookies, walked around and saw the beautiful Christmas lights, wrote Santa his letter, and had a big sleepover. Waking up and experiencing the holiday joy with these girls was truly unmatched, it was beautiful knowing that this nanny gig was so much more than a job. This family treated me like their own and being apart of their core memories has forever imprinted me in the best way.
