My name is Anna. I'm 48 yrs old. I love children. I have 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. I love going to parks, teaching children different things. The main thing I teach them is to be kind and caring to others, manners and respect. Also it's important for me to teach children not to talk to strangers and differences between right and wrong behavior when it comes to other people with your children. I love to read to children. Nothing expands the mind more than reading. It takes children to a whole new and different place. When my grandchildren were small we would read a book and the put on a very small play. It was absolutely the best. After all children should be allowed to dream and be assured that they have the potential and power to become anything they want.. Thank you for reading my introduction.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Took care of my nephew on and off since he was 1. He is autistic non verbal. I also take care of my grandchildren when my daughter needs a breather. There ages range from 1 yr to 16. Several neices and nephew's. I sit for hours and read them stories, watch them draw. Anything and everything to expand their minds. The reason I don't put in work experience is because I watched my family's children. It really wasn't work. I never made them pay me because I enjoy spending every moment with them. Now I'm here to get paid for what I love to do. Which is taking care of children. Getting paid to do a job you already love to do. Not many people can say that! That's pretty awesome...

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading to children and making up little playst to act out about the book we read. It broadens the imagination and they love it. Playing outside wether it is playing a board game, catching and throwing a ball, hide and seek or just walking around learning about different insects, birds and tress. I love the outdoors.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Taking complete care of the children of course. Teaching them to be kind to others and reminding them everyday that they are special and they can become anything in the world. That there choices are unlimited and never say never because there's always a way with work and commitment. To treat people with respect and kindness and never judge a book by its cover because that book could be the most amazing book you will ever read..

My experience with special needs children...

Autistic non verbal and ADHD. You just need to be very patient. It takes children with special needs a little more time to get use to a new person. They are use to basically the same routine everyday. I dont think there routine should be the same everyday. They should be shown new things. Even if you cant see it trust me there excited when they learn or are taught something new. All it takes is a little more patients, undersranding and time for them to get to know you. After that you will start seeing the smiles when you arrive at the door. There's nothing better than seeing a special needs child come out of there shell. I swear to you it's the most amazing experience..

The most important part about being a nanny...

That would be the time I dressed up as a clown because the parent couldn't find one. I looked ridiculous but seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of the children was so worth it. A moment I will always remember.
