A little bit about me

Hii! I’m currently a freshman at Kent State University and will be a sophomore this fall, majoring in Early Childhood Education. My goal is to become a 4th-grade teacher because I love helping kids learn and grow. I come from a big family with four younger siblings (including a 6-year-old), so I’ve had lots of experience caring for younger kids from an early age.

I also work at a Christian summer camp in Ravenna, Ohio called Camp Carl. During the summers of 2024 and 2025 I served as a Day Camp Counselor, and in summer 2026 I stepped into a leadership role as a Day Camp Unit Leader. Through camp I’ve gained a lot of experience supervising groups of kids, planning activities, and making sure they feel safe, included, and have fun.

I love working with kids ages 5–11 and enjoy creating fun activities while also helping with routines like homework, meals, and bedtime. I’m responsible, energetic, and passionate about creating a positive environment where kids feel cared for and encouraged.

I worked as a Day Camp Counselor at a Christian summer camp in Ravenna, Ohio called Camp Carl. The day camp served kids ages 5–11, and I loved working with all the different ages—especially the 3rd–5th grade range. It was honestly my favorite job because it’s both really rewarding and challenging. Through that experience, I discovered how much I love working with kids, which is why I plan to become a 4th grade teacher in the next few years. I’m really excited to continue working with and supporting kids as they learn and grow.
