A little bit about me

I am a dedicated early childhood professional with over seven years of hands-on experience working with children in both professional and personal settings. I hold early childhood education AND Elementary Education credits from East Carolina University and am certified in CPR and First Aid. My background includes working as a daycare teacher, where I created nurturing, engaging learning environments for infants through preschool-aged children. As a mother to my own 8-month-old child, I bring a deep, personal understanding of child development, patience, and care. I am passionate about supporting the growth and well-being of every child in my care and committed to fostering safe, stimulating spaces where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and cognitively.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in hands-on, creative activities that support both learning and fun. Some of my favorite things to do include sensory play, reading interactive storybooks, singing songs, and doing simple arts and crafts projects. I enjoy planning age-appropriate games that encourage motor skills, social interaction, and imagination. Outdoor play is also important to me. I love organizing nature walks, playground time, and safe water play. Whether it’s teaching new skills or simply sharing a laugh, I find joy in helping children explore the world around them in a safe, caring environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust. Not just with the child, but with the whole family. It goes beyond keeping a child safe or entertained; it’s about creating a consistent, emotionally secure environment where the child feels understood and the parents feel supported. That trust allows me to care for the child in a way that respects their routine, personality, and developmental needs while also adapting to the unique dynamic of the family. Being that reliable, steady presence makes a lasting difference in a child’s life, and that’s something I take seriously every day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when a toddler I cared for took their first steps while we were playing together. We had been working on standing and balance for weeks, and seeing their face light up with pride and hearing their little giggle was unforgettable. The parents were so grateful that I captured the moment on video for them to see. It reminded me how special it is to be part of a child’s milestones and how rewarding it is to support their growth and confidence every day.
