A little bit about me

My name is Anna Schoen and I am 19 years old. I graduated Cor Jesu Academy, which is in St. Louis, MO in May 2023. I am currently a freshman at the University of Arkansas. I am majoring in Special Education and wanting to go into Pre-Occupational Therapy and work with kids with special needs. As a babysitter/nanny, I got to work with children and took care of them when their parents were out. We would do all sorts of different activities like playing outside, playing board games, and being active. I am a reliable, happy, and trustworthy person. I like to be outside and get the kids occupied with some fun activities. I have experience in cleaning up, preparing food, and making sure everything is spotless, by the time the parents come home. Overall, I have been babysitting and working with kids for 5 years now and love every second of it.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with a child over the Summer that had Down Syndrome at a camp called Camp Circle Star and we worked one on one with them. I also worked as a lifegaurd for 2 years in St. Louis, MO. I nannied over the Summer for 2 families, picking them up from events, activities, or sports, and I watched them and we hung out and did numerous of things like going outside, taking a walk, and playing games that they wanted to play.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy going outside, taking walks/going to parks, coloring, helping them understand their school work, playing games/sports, and doing whatever activity they want to do that is safe and fun for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is to allow the children to have a fun time and keep them occupied doing things that they love to do in a safe, happy, and fun way. Their happiness is key to being a good nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with a child with Down Syndrome over the Summer at a camp called Camp Circle Star and we were paired one on one doing all the activities that he wanted to do at the camp, like fishing, taking a walk around the lake, swimming, playing in the sensory rooms, and just having a good time with his friends.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nannying moment was when a Mom texted me after the first time ever meeting the children and saying that the girls were asking when I was coming back and it made me so happy to know that after that short hour of meeting them they enjoyed me so much that they were asking when I was coming back.

Babysitter Available in Fayetteville, AR: Kristin C.

Greetings! I love children very much. I studied Early Child Development in college and became certified to work in a preschool with an emphasis in infant care and I only stopped once I had my own children. My five kids are getting older now and I miss the younger ages! I recently became a postpartum doula and so I have experience with families with young ones although I love all ages. I have spent time volunteering at a camp for those with special needs and that was also delightful. I would love to serve your family!
