Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy drawing, word searches and activities like that, board games, online games, hide and seek, tag, reading, writing, movies and shows, play dough, baking, Simon says, scavenger hunt, charades, freeze dance, legos, crafts, forts, going to a park, walks, swimming, hopscotch, bubbles, sprinklers, any sport, bicycles, scooters, etc

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is to ensure safety for children and make sure they’re also having fun at the same time. I also think that it’s important for them to get daily tasks done and learn how to do that without getting hurt and also protecting them from harm so they can meet their basic needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I have two brothers with autism and ADHD which is difficult but I have very good experience with treating them when they are sad and having meltdowns. I have learned how to help children with dyslexia by being patient and supportive, breaking down instructions, use simple language, asking questions to see if they understand, and letting them use audiobooks and using key points to make it easier for them. I am trying to learn sign language to help children with a hearing disability. I’m a good listener and encourage independence for children with a LD. I’m still trying to improve on my skills for other special needs children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many favorite nanny moments but the one that sticks out to me. The most is whenever I’m hanging out with this one little girl who is two and her sister who is eight the little two-year-old always has a bright smile on her face and knows my name and gives me a hug every time I get to see her and her sister. I also love that her sister is technically one of my best friends because I’ve known her for about like nine years since she was a baby my favorite moment with them is when I was playing water toys with a two year-old and she kept laughing when she spilled water on me and I kept saying oh no, and then her mom would record it and send it to me and my favorite moment with the eight year-old would be whenever I get to go to the mall with her or whenever I go to the park with her because we always have a wonderful time at those places.
