The most important part about being a nanny...
Everything you do to others you’re also doing to yourself. It applies to kids as well. They should feel confident, calmed, and relaxed around us. They don’t know most of the things we do, and that’s why we should use that knowledge in a positive manner to make sure they strive, while also preserving their innocence, and curiosity about everything.
No kid should ever feel uncomfortable, dismissed, or ignored by an adult. They see most of us as superheroes! As people they can trust to solve their little puzzles. As caregivers, we should always reassure to them that that care for them will always be there no matter what.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My kids at daycare. Oh! How I miss them every day. How they would be so excited to see me always made me smile. Some of them would be shy, not really talkative or engaging with other kids, but with a little bit of time I saw them get out of their comfort zone and start playing, and joking around. It made me proud to watch them grow, and even challenge themselves every day.
Our arts and crafts were always my favorite to do with them because of how much they’d enjoy getting their hands wet with paint. And how curious and talkative they’d be about the shapes, colors, and patterns of the drawings.
I also enjoyed engaging with them at the playground. Playing hide and seek, going down the slide. Creating memories with each and all of them. I always wanted to make sure they were enjoying their time away from home.
