The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong connection with the children and family.
My experience with special needs children...
Prior to becoming a teacher I worked with The Center for Autism and Related Disorders at UCLA providing in home therapy and family support. During my time in the classroom I have had the opportunity to serve many children with special needs: ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, cerebral palsy, Fetal Drug and Alcohol Disorder, Toxic Epidural Necrolysis, siezure disorders, exoderma pigmentosum, autism, and students who have experienced severe trauma.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is impossible to pick one favorite moment. Working with children of all ages creates a multiple of priceless memories. There have been so many moments that have made me laugh over the years. I do not think it is possible to spend a day with a child without the child causing you to beam with pride, giggle, laugh to your belly hurts, or smile from peer wonder or joy.

Babysitter Available in Eatonville, WA: Lexus P.
Hi! My name is Lexus, and I’m a 16-year old who truly enjoys spending time with kids. I have an 8-year-old sister who is basically my best friend, so I’ve grown up helping take care of her and being very involved in her day-to-day life. Because of that, I’m very comfortable entertaining kids, helping with routines, and making sure they feel safe and supported.
I’m naturally very patient, disciplined, and helpful, and I always try to be someone parents can trust and rely on. I also love animals, so I’m completely comfortable in homes with pets as well. I take responsibility seriously and understand how important it is for parents to feel confident leaving their children with someone they can trust. I’ve always loved being around kids, and since I already spend so much time helping with my sister, babysitting feels like a perfect job for me as a teenager, something I genuinely enjoy while also being helpful to families in my community.
