I've been babysitting neighborhood and church kids since as young as 12 years old. I babysat for one family for 3 years. The girls were 2 and 5 when I first started. The 2 year old had severe down syndrome up until the last time I babysat her when she was 5 years old. She was still very much like a baby. I communicated with her using sign language and learned how to properly take care of a child with special needs. I don't have any. children of my own but I have 6 nieces and one nephew that I adore and love spending time with.
