Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My current role is at an early childhood center, where I have worked with infants, toddlers, two-year-olds, and preschool-aged children. I currently serve as the Lead Educator in the two-year-old classroom, where I manage daily routines, plan age-appropriate activities, support children’s social-emotional development, and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Previously, I worked as a K–2 Special Education Teacher, which strengthened my ability to provide individualized support and respond patiently to each child’s unique needs. I also have experience babysitting, nannying, and caring for younger family members.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include reading books, arts and crafts, sensory play, music and dancing, outdoor walks, playground visits, and age-appropriate educational games. I also enjoy encouraging imaginative play and creating simple activities that support children’s creativity, communication, and development while keeping them engaged and having fun.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with children with special needs comes from both my professional background and personal caregiving experience. I earned a bachelor’s degree in special education, hold a teaching license in the field, and previously worked as a K–2 Special Education Teacher. I have also cared for family members who have been diagnosed with autism, which has given me additional firsthand experience providing patient, understanding, and individualized support. I am trained to adapt activities, support communication and social-emotional development, and create a safe, encouraging environment where every child feels understood, included, and supported.
