A little bit about me

I am the third oldest of seven children and have been helping to take care of my younger siblings since I was three years old. I have also babysat for other families in the past and absolutely love children. I grew up homeschooled, but attended high school where I was involved in many different public speaking and performance activities. I love to embroider and dabble with other art mediums. My family and I also love to participate in Civil War reenactments as a hobby. This gives me the perfect opportunity to spend more time outside being active and connect with my brothers. I love fitness and will have no problem keeping up with an energetic child.
I don't use fowl language, and believe in brining a positive influence into every space.

I have four younger siblings, and have baby sat several times over the years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love dabbling in all forms of art, and love seeing children's wonderful imaginations come to life as they draw. I also love to take my younger siblings outside to run around and get fresh air. Additionally, I love use our imaginations to make up new and fun games. I also love just talking with children, whether they want me to do the talking or the listening it's always very fulfilling.

The most important part about being a nanny is connecting with the children. They are at such an impressable age when they are young, making it so important that they have good influences and real connection in their lives as opposed to just being on screens all day.

My experience with special needs children...

I have played with and helped teach children with dyslexia, ADHD and mild Autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when I was taking care of a one year old girl and we spent a solid half hour playing a game where I handed her a flower petal, she threw it to the ground and I handed it right back to her. She was giggling so hard which just made me so happy! I think it just goes to show that playing with children doesn't need to be complicated or involve fancy toys. Children just need human connection.
