The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me about being a Nanny is the fact that it is such a trusted position. Children are the most valuable and purest of hearts, and who you have around your children has a big effect on how they grow up, what they like to do, how they learn to pick trustworthy people in their lives, and their overall comfortability. I know from my experiences as a child, I am so grateful to have grown up with the trusted adults and older kids that I did. I have always felt accepted, safe and taken care of by those my parents trusted to be around me. Being a nanny is a very high honor because it is proof of good character and how safe people feel around you. I would be honored to be a trusted adult for someone's kid.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for high energy kids with intense ADHD, as well as very quiet children with social anxiety. While I haven't cared for many disabled or special needs children, I grew up with many of them and I was one myself so I am not limited in knowledge around it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Any time one of my kids has been excited by the fun makeup or jewelry I put on that day. I often wear a lot of glittery makeup and colorful jewelry, so seeing my kids light up at how fun my appearance is on a given day and asking questions about it is always very sweet.
