I’m currently a Psychological Science major with a minor in Childhood Studies at UVM, and graduating with my B.A. this May! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked with children in a few different settings, including babysitting, preschool classrooms, and through placements for my coursework. Currently, I’m working in a preschool classroom, but have worked in Infant and Toddler rooms as well. I’ve gotten a lot of experience with daily routines, managing different behaviors, and working with multiple children at once.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing a mix of activities, but my favorites are definitely reading together and getting outside. I could sit and read with kids all day, and I also love outdoor play. Whether that’s just being outside, going for walks, or letting them explore and be active.

I also really enjoy real-world experiences like going to the zoo, aquarium, or even just getting out of the house and trying something new. I think those kinds of experiences are so important for learning and curiosity. I try to balance fun with things that help kids explore, ask questions, and build confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part is building a genuine connection with the child while creating a safe and supportive environment. Kids can tell when someone is really present with them, and that trust makes such a difference.

It’s also about supporting their development in a way that feels natural. Helping them learn, grow, and navigate their emotions, while still making sure they’re having fun and feel comfortable being themselves

My experience with special needs children...

Through both my coursework and hands-on experience, I’ve worked with children who have different behavioral and developmental needs. I’m really focused on being patient and understanding, and adjusting how I respond based on what each child needs. I try to create a calm and supportive environment where they feel comfortable and successful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

don’t think I have one specific moment, but I really enjoy the day-to-day parts of working with kids. Things like seeing them get excited over something small, start to figure something out on their own, or just getting more comfortable and confident over time. Those little moments are what make it rewarding for me.
