My name is Arielle, I previously worked at a school for special needs for 6 years and have worked with kindergarten through high school students. Before that job I was babysitting 3 sisters for about 4 years. I started baby sitting them when they were 8, 9 and 12 years of age. I have plenty experience working with kids on and off the spectrum and always strive to help instill confidence confidence and independence.

My experience with special needs children...

Working at Otto Specht school lead me to a passion for working with kids on the spectrum. Not only did I help to teach them but they taught me so much. I believe movement in all forms helps to connect certain pathways to help with speech, confidence, and overall happiness. I also believe that accepting each child for who they were was always so important along with motivating but never forcing. Lastly meeting each child in the middle was key. Meeting them where they were, showing interest in what they liked whether it was stims or activities helped to build trust and eventually lead to getting that child to participate in school activities. I don’t have any degrees but I have a lot of hands on experience with this population and feel I connect with them deeply.
