A little bit about me

My name is Ashaureah. I’m the oldest of two siblings, and caring for others has always been a natural part of who I am. During my junior and senior years of high school, I worked as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant, where I gained valuable experience supporting children with different learning and developmental needs. That role taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of creating a safe and encouraging environment for every child.I truly adore being around children and love helping them learn, grow, and reach new developmental milestones. I’m a caring, dependable, and attentive person who enjoys building meaningful connections with children while providing families with someone they can trust. My goal is to create a fun, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to be themselves.
I’m excited for the opportunity to become a positive part of your family’s daily life and look forward to getting to know you and your little ones.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to my experience as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant, I have cared for children within my family ranging from infants and toddlers to school-aged children. Through this experience, I have become comfortable with a variety of daily childcare responsibilities, including changing diapers, preparing and giving bottles, following nap routines, assisting with potty training, and helping with homework.
I enjoy creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. I am patient, dependable, and attentive to each child’s individual needs, and I strive to make every child feel supported, encouraged, and cared for as if they were my own family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning fun and engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and imagination. Some of my favorite things to do with children include arts and crafts, coloring, reading books, playing outdoors, going on walks, visiting parks, building with blocks and puzzles, playing board games, baking simple treats together, listening to music, dancing, and doing educational activities that help them learn while having fun. I also enjoy helping with homework, celebrating developmental milestones, and creating a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel valued, supported, and free to be themselves. I believe every child deserves patience, kindness, and encouragement as they learn and grow. I also understand how important it is for parents to feel at ease knowing their children are in good hands. Building a trusting relationship with both the children and their family is something I take seriously. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while helping children reach developmental milestones, build confidence, and create happy memories every day.

My experience with special needs children...

During my junior and senior years of high school, I worked as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant, where I supported children with a variety of learning and developmental needs. In this role, I assisted students with classroom activities, encouraged positive behavior, provided one-on-one support when needed, and helped create a safe, patient, and inclusive learning environment. This experience strengthened my patience, compassion, adaptability, and communication skills. I understand that every child learns and develops at their own pace, and I strive to provide individualized care that helps each child feel supported, understood, and confident. My goal is always to build trusting relationships while creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is seeing a child I care for accomplish something they have been working hard on, whether it is learning a new skill, finishing a puzzle, saying a new word, or gaining confidence in something they once found difficult. I love being able to encourage children, celebrate their progress, and be part of those special milestones. Moments like these remind me why I enjoy working with children so much. It is rewarding to know that my patience, support, and care can help a child feel proud, happy, and confident in themselves.

I’m a first gen student. I’ve had to look after younger family members as I grew. Since I was 11 I had to care for my younger sister because both my parents were hard workers. I’ve provided food for ourselves and homework help when I could. I try to be engaging with the kids and I don’t mind helping with homework and such. Housekeeping is perfectly fine with me. I’m also well with pets.
