Hello, my name is Ashlee. I've been a preschool teacher for the last 10 years and have over 18 years of Early Education experience and knowledge. I am also a mother to two young children and love being a Educator as well as a mother.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've taught as an Infant and Toddler teacher for several years. I've taught as a Preschool Teacher and Site Supervisor for a beach cities school district and I've obtained a great amount of education within the Early Childhood Education field. I've taught children ages 0-12 years old for the past 18 years. I've also worked as a sitter for private families caring for children of all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing creative art activities, reading stories, playing with manipulative with them as they explore, and stimulating their large gross motor skills through indoor and outdoor body movement activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most important part about being a nanny would be building a healthy relationship with the children and parents. Also, ensuring the child's safety is always most important. A safe and healthy environment allows the child to grow and feel comforted during the brief period that their parents are away.

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked within a Special Educational preschool with children of difficult spectrums. I've worked one on one and also with children who joined a typical learning environment. I've working with children who experienced language development delays, sensitivity to sensory, and I've worked with children whom were building their gross motor development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was taking the children to the Farmers Market and learning about the the fruits and vegetables together. Then after we left the market, we bought some vegetables and came back to the home and made a homemade vegetable soup with the goods that we purchased. This activity took the children into the common to learn about farming and vegetables and later learned simple mathematics as as counted the items used for the soup.
