Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked for a local school district for their Extended Day Program as a Program Aide for 3 years and Assistant Lead for 1 year (currently). I've helped safely and successfully run a program of 100+ kids, organized and instructed games, tutored and provided social and emotional support for all students. I've also volunteered in several classrooms as an assistant to the teachers and worked at a summer camp where my job involved supervising students during both indoor and outdoor activities and running a tutoring group at the end of the day.

My experience with special needs children...
I've volunteered in a special needs classroom intermittently since I was in middle school and worked with many behavioral aspects. We've also worked with a few special needs students in our program.
