My experience with special needs children...
I have experience from an assigned class in HS working with the SPED kids in elementary schools within my district and some of my HS peers in the SPED classes as well.
I also have experience working for 2 different Texas ISDs in the SPED department with children who have behavioral issues due to autism, trauma, or emotional disturbances, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a movie night/end of school "party" with a precious little 7 or old girl I was nannying for. We made decorations, came up with fun snacks ideas that we could make together, homemade movie tickets, etc. We spent several evenings with different arts/crafts to prepare and it was something fun for us to both look forward to, all week. We spent the night of the "party" giggling, snacking, and ended the night playing made up games with her special rules to win (most) rounds! 🤣🥰 The decorations stayed up for weeks after! It was a fun time for us both!
