A little bit about me

I'm a 29 year old mom to four amazingly wild kiddos. I have my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, my Professional Nanny License, and my Directors Credentials, these give me the ability to own and operate my own center. I have worked in three different daycares, but anyone who has nannied and been a teacher will tell you that you can't give thirty children the attention and time that they need. It's impossible, and it's why my heart has stayed with being a nanny. We ask that our children give us our best, when they deserve the best of us. We are their guides, mentors, and role models. When we can work with a child and give them the time they need, they can blossom. You watch personalities blossom, and you see the hope for tomorrow that we so need. I love teaching in all aspects, but more so in daily life experiences. I cook with my six year old to practice measurements, and look at the baby bird house outside to study life cycles. Real world experiences are important to me.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in three daycares. Two of the daycares were church oriented centers. I have been a teacher in nurserys, ones, twos, and preschool classrooms. I have three years of daycare experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Vitamin D is important! I love taking the kids outside to explore, and nature hunts are always fun. Arts and crafts are also great for the imagination. I enjoy teaching children how to cook, and be safe in a kitchen setting. I enjoy teaching kids to use sites like ABCMouse for education.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is the attitude you bring with you. As a nanny you become a teacher, a role model, a story teller, a maid, and so much more. Tackling each day with a positive day lets the children you're working with know you're happy to be there, and gets you off to the right start.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite memory is the when the first little girl I ever nannied finally read for the first time after we had been working on it for a few months. She didn't just read a sentence she read a little book all the way through at four years old and was so proud. She was beaming with joy.
