Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have hands-on childcare experience caring for children of all ages, including my own infant daughter, my 3-year-old niece, my 7-year-old nephew, my 15-year-old niece, and my 17-year-old sister-in-law. Through these experiences, I have helped with feeding, diaper changes, preparing meals, supervising playtime, assisting with homework, maintaining routines, and providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment. Caring for children at different stages of development has taught me patience, responsibility, adaptability, and the importance of meeting each child’s individual needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending quality time with children through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities. With babies, I love cuddling, reading, singing, tummy time, and playing developmental games that encourage milestones like rolling over, babbling, and communication. With older children, I enjoy doing arts and crafts, gardening, playing with animals, spending time outdoors, and participating in sports and active games. I played softball for many years, so I enjoy encouraging teamwork, confidence, and staying active while making sure children are having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important parts of being a nanny are safety and compassion. Children need to feel safe, loved, and understood while they learn and grow. A great nanny should provide a secure environment while also being patient, nurturing, and attentive to each child’s individual personality and needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have professional experience caring for children with special needs at this time. While I have experience caring for children of various ages, I would prefer a position that aligns with my current experience and comfort level. I am always willing to continue learning and growing in my childcare skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have not worked as a professional nanny before, but one of my favorite childcare moments was helping my nephew learn how to care for and interact with my baby. Watching him learn to be gentle, hold her safely, and talk to her has been so special. Seeing the bond they have created and watching his confidence grow while learning how to care for a younger child is something I will always cherish.
