I am a kid at heart and do anything they enjoy doing. I however limit television and game time so that the child can be a kid and do fun things out doors. I love being outdoors so a lot of time is spent making mud pies, looking for bugs or playing in mud holes. If you do not like your kid being a kid and getting messy and living their best life as a child please do not contact me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is a job I do not take lightly. As a parent I have a very difficult time leaving my three boys with any and they are the ages 10,8 and 5. So I treat all children the way that I would want my children to be treated. I believe in letting children be children, they learn through playing and adventures and I always do my best to make each day a new adventure.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with several children over the years with special needs. I feel that special needs children are the same as any other child, I look at them no differently than I would a child without special needs. A child to me is the same as a child without special needs when it comes to their needs. You have to figure out what works best for that child. Just because I teach one way with one child doesn't mean that way is going to work for the next child that comes along.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Well the funniest moment would have to be............ I when I was working for Dr. P and I took her car to the carwash to detail it and I have her 2 year old in the backseat. As we enter the car wash water starts pouring down on me and i realize that her sunroof is open and the whoever drove last had just closed the cover and not the glass...... sooo I'm trying to close the glass and the pressure from the car wash is so strong it blows open the cover and the glass isn't closing water is pouring in this nice expensive vehicle the baby is in the backseat screaming and right as the blower comes on to dry the car the sunroof closes. We were both traumatized after that.
