One of my favorite activities to do with children is creative play especially arts and crafts. I love seeing how imaginative they can be when we paint, draw, or create little projects together. It’s not only fun for them, but it also helps with their fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence. I always try to make it educational too, by incorporating colors, shapes, or even simple storytelling into our crafts.

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment for the children. It’s not just about watching them, but supporting their emotional, physical, and mental development. Children need to feel secure and cared for in order to confidently explore, learn, and grow. It’s also essential to have good communication with the parents to ensure that the care I provide is aligned with the family’s values and routines.

My favorite moments as a nanny are the little breakthroughs like when a child learns something new, says their first words, or accomplishes something they’ve been working on. Being there to witness their growth and see their excitement is incredibly rewarding. It makes me feel proud to know I’ve contributed to that moment, even in a small way. Those genuine smiles, hugs, and connections are what make this job so special to me.
