I have been a nanny and babysitter for many years in different homes. I have also worked with children ages 5-17 in a residential treatment center. In this setting I helped get multiple children through their scheduled day for their treatment plans. I was also there to help process emotions with kids and help maintain boundaries.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Any kind of sport, in school I played softball, basketball, volleyball, and I cheered. I also enjoy musical activities and having dance parties. I like to paint and do fun, sometimes messy, art projects. I also enjoy playing board games and imaginative games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe it is caring for the child. Caring about their emotional well-being, safety, and health. I care about children very deeply and plan to work with them for the rest of my life. Caring about a child being happy and healthy is necessary to be a great nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been around some kids with special needs in the residential treatment center. I also have basic knowledge of kids with special needs from my social work college courses.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was the day a 1 year old started walking on her own. We were playing in front of a full mirror door and dancing. when she saw herself she let go of my hands and took her first steady steps towards herself. Her parents were both home so I called them in there to show them what she was doing. It was my favorite moment getting to share that with the family and their excitement.
