My experience with special needs children...
My cousin has special needs and while I have not cared for him directly, he has always been a part of my life so I’ve learned a lot from being around him. I volunteer with him through an organization Batters Up which is a baseball league for adults with special needs. I also have experience caregiving for 3 children with autism and one who is nonverbal. As a special education major, I am always learning more about disabilities and interacting with children in this most age appropriate way.
