Hi there! A little about me.. I have been working as a nanny since I was 14. I’ve watched many kids over the years. Whether it be in a daycare/early childhood education center or in public schools and in homes, I have loved working with children! I have experience with special needs children and am entirely willing to care for pets and perform other household chores throughout the day. I am temporarily living in the Fort Polk area for the next 6 months while my husband is working on base installing fiber optics. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a childcare provider for Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonner’s Ferry as well as a Toddler Teacher for Storybook Nook Early Learning Center. I currently nanny a special needs boy and work as a paraprofessional for BCSD 101.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing sensory activities with children that encourage development in fine motor and gross motor skills. I also enjoy doing science experiments, dramatic play and singing songs!

The most important part of being a nanny is building a healthy relationship with the children. It is very important for children to feel safe and comfortable with their care providers in order to meet all their basic needs.

I have worked previously with multiple children on the spectrum as well as disabled children at my current job.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when a 2 year old I was watching brought me a cracker shaped like a hexagon and said “look Ms. Ashlynn, yellow hexagon!” It is very rewarding when children repeat what you have been teaching them.
