I love making things! Whether that’s art, crafts, snacks, etc. Anything where they can express themselves creatively and have a good time. I love playing outside games that pertain to the season we’re in as well :-)
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me about being a nanny is providing a fun environment for kids to grow and express themselves. Helping them grow in a way that will best benefit them throughout their lives, whether that’s teaching good study habits, sharing skills, manners, etc. is such a satisfying thing for me. I love knowing that I am being a formative figure in young kids’ lives.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t nannied for any children with special needs but I did take 4 years of a peer tutoring class in high school where I was able to spend time with many different children with many different special needs. I was always asked to come back the following year and be a tutor again. I work well with people in general, but children with special needs has been a great experience for me.
