I have worked in an in home day care, which had (daily) at least 10 kids. I worked there for about a year, while also taking care of more kids on the side.
I am currently a teacher at a learning center. I have 14 two to two and a half year olds that I care for from 6:30 am to 5 pm.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do arts and crafts with kids! My pinterest board is full of fun crafts to do. Depending on the weather, I also love to go outside and play (depending on parental say as well). Calm down time with a story before nap is also a habit of mine.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, I just try to be patient and caring to my kids. I'm not their parent, so it takes a while for them to open up to the idea of a stranger helping care for them. I try to be calm at all times (unless I'm being goofy!)
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for an autistic child. He was very sweet and well behaved. Another child of mine had a bone disorder and needed to be fed hourly.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I worked at my day care, there was a day when my kids just seemed so energized. I decided to have a little dance party with them to get some of their energy out. We danced on and off for about an hour!
